DESIGN AND SYNTHESIS OF FUNCTIONAL MACROMOLECULES FOR BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS

3) Nano-sized multivalent dendritic probes with improved tumor targeting efficiency for SPECT imaging

 

 

 

 

4) Macromolecular therapeutics for the treatment of retinal diseases

 

 

Our Tools

 

1) Organic synthesis: dendrimer/peptide/nucleoside/porphyrin/carbohydrate chemistry, (bio-)orthogonal conjugation, PEGylation, surface modification, ring closing metathesis (RCM), catenoid synthesis, etc.

 

2) Computer modeling: HyperChem, Macromodel, etc.

 

3) Structural analysis: NMR (1D & 2D), mass spec (MALDI, ESI, etc.), GPC/SEC, HPLC, UV-Vis/IR/fluorescence spectroscopy, DLS, TEM, elemental analysis, etc.

 

4) In vitro studies: confocal fluorescence microscopy, FACS, radioligand binding assay, cytotoxicity assay, etc.

 

5) In vivo imaging: micro-CT, IVIS Lumina II, animal-SPECT, etc.
